Meet the Team
Project Supervisor
Mariana is an Assistant Professor in Data Science at Northeastern University London.
She leads the research project of this platform investigating the impact of artificial intelligence on daily life, with a focus on the sociodemographic, emotional, and cognitive profiles of individuals.
Her broader research interests include human behaviour, human mobility, social inequalities, machine learning, and swarm intelligence.
Advisor
Associate Professor in Human-Centred Computing and Director of Postgraduate Taught at Northeastern University, London.
Her research explores the role of humans in computer systems — including their participation in design and evaluation, especially in applied business contexts — and investigates how people adopt and share computing technologies.
Melika Vafafar is a PhD researcher at Northeastern University London, exploring the role of AI and immersive technologies in emotion regulation and digital mental health.
With a background in cognitive neuroscience and clinical psychology, her work bridges human-computer interaction, empathic chatbot design, and cross-cultural user research.
Research Team
Rameen Masood is a Postgraduate researcher pursuing an MSc in AI & Ethics at Northeastern University London.
She is an active contributor to this platform, examining artificial intelligence systems and their impact on humans.
With a background in engineering and experience in financial technology consulting, Rameen is particularly interested in the intersection of AI and social bias.
Her broader interests include responsible AI and digital ethics.
Stan Liwise is a postgraduate researcher and the main developer of this platform at Northeastern University London.
He focuses on building user-friendly digital tools for research and public engagement.
Stan's interests include ethical AI, open-source software, and digital accessibility.
